I've uploaded a Java IRC Client to http://fsirc.try.hu (http://fsirc.try.hu). I think it's quite comfortable to use, and it connects to the "official IRC channel" (c) maslo :P You only need to enter a nick and optionally select your language. You may bookmark it, then it'll automatically connect you with the set nick and language.
I know of the SCP IRC client, tho I haven't used it, but I think that this may be more comfortable it someone wants to use it more than a few times.
