Hunter class light destroyer or a standard frigate. It used the Privateer 1's Drayman transport as it's base. She is not UV mapped yet so I can chop and slice without any problems. I'm open for any suggestions, as long as it maintains it's style. BTW, too small for a fighter bay.

2/3 of the way done UVmapping and here and my eyes are about ready to fall out... This is one of the more difficult mapping's i've had to do.

I don't know much (read: anything0 about modelling. So what makes this one more difficult?
I'm genuinely interested, so don't take that as me saying "...because it doesn't look that detailed". Because it looks Good .
Tell me, have you got anyone using these models yet? Are they gonna be in saga or the supplimentary releases?

Faceted edges, I guess. Have to admit it doesn't look too tough IMO, unless there's some really freaky-deaky geometry I can't see.

Its all in the accuracy and interpretation of a sprite based ship, It looks awesome when you know the ship its based on.. But i agree, I dunno where the intense difficulty is but i do praise the model itself.

Well this one is using Privateer 1's Drayman transport as it's basis. There is models for it (Privateer Remake can be extracted, but looks way out of place compared to the rest). Problem with this one is so much chaffered edges, mostly around the bridge/rear area. The front went together quite quickly. Lots of sections couldn't be UVmapped together with other sections.
No these ships are not part of Saga in any for or matter. On that note however, I am rebuilding their tables, (one at a time check the prerendered thread to see which ones I've completed), so that they can operate with Saga's ships, rather than with the FS2 ships. If you wish to use them in some other mod, not a problem (the more the better). They are in seperate VP files, extract them, replace the tbm file with your own (to match your own mod) and vola. Actually PotUK is using the Formidable and the Piranha(Pirahna) is also wanted :)

The Ecantona is great, Re the gilgamesh i have it in a RAR from god knows where, but some textures a re missing so i assume i need a pack (again :nervous: ) Whats the thread called with the DL links for those?

Karmaska = 100m (corvette)
Seagull = 100m (corvette)
Unnamed cat clipper = 300m (modified cat wc3 corvette) (and no i don't mean a cat shaver :p )
Hunter = 450m (frigate)
Ajax = 500m (frigate)
Liberty = 500m (jeep carrier)
gilgamesh = ummm 500m? (frigate)
Athena = 800m (destroyer)
Raksadarg = I'm guessing around 800m or so (a cat destroyer I haven't shown to the room yet :p Let's just say a cross between a paktahn and a wc3 cat heavy destroyer)
Nimitz = ummm? can't think offhand (carrier)
Aurora = 1.2km (cruiser)
waterloo = too early to tell I'm guessing about 1.4 km
washington = i think it was at 1.2km (i need to repaint it, i've forgotten about it, it desperately need side mounted turrets)
Essex = 1.6km (cruiser)
Enterprise = 1.6km (not set yet [it's Axem's Triton remodded]) (fleet carrier)
Edit: nothing is set on the bug big ships.

Heres the hunter....
There seems to be a problem with the engine glow. The normals are (0,0,-1) size 20 but they don't appear.
Also you will probably want to edit the tbm file and replace the weapons. I don't think additional.vp has these (not exactly sure since I've been updating the weapons table file.) You will still need the additional.vp file for the turret textures.
