so i grabbed the game off torrent, and its ok.
its pretty, sure. thats not hard nowadays. i would say that there are several problems here
they released BFME2 waaay too soon after BFME
theyre already working on a BFME2 expansion pack, to be released november.
the game had potential, but theyre raping it to death :(
BFME1 was great. it had the new building system, outposts that needed to be captured and defended, cool walls and such, and the means to have really cool seige battles. they put in freeform walls and bases in BFME2, and took away all the cool seige tools. again, it made me very sad.
BFME1 was balanced. BFME2, alot less balanced.
BFME2 does have one good thing though. War of the Ring mode. its like risk, but with LotR, on a computer, and you can fight the battles real-time. that's neat to play with other people, like my roommate.
i could go on, but i dont feel like it.

War of the Ring
With big franchise RTS games, developers make up all the cool units, put 2 thirds into the first game, add a midgeon of new to the sequel, and bung the rest in an expansion. Its the way they treated Dawn of War.........

It's how all games seem to work now. They don't evolve and add new features like they used to. They take away things you used to have and like and often add new stuff you don't.

Turambar,another JRRT guy(where's Nienor,I don't see her)!
The first Battaglia Per La Terra di Mezzo (Battle For Middle Earth)was a very good game, unlike the War of the Ring.
Sometimes we talk about it here:

Another game which uses the license...
They make ugly things sure that seeing that "Middle Earth"on its tile everybody would buy the game.It isn't always true :D
