Title: stats problems with player-made campaigns
Post by: bigwitt187 on September 07, 2006, 01:59:49 pm
Every time I play through a player-made campaign with my main character I can't access the barracks afterward, it crashes the game.  It works fine if I create a new character and only seems to happen after I kill a new ship type, one that isn't in or can't be killed in the main FS2 campaign.  I was wondering if there is a mod that would allow me to have all of my kills from the the main campaign and any player-made campaigns on the same character.  Note that this was all on FS2 retail, I just downloaded FS2_open if that makes a difference.  Ok, maybe it's a stupid question but any answer would be nice.  Is there a way or do I have to use a different pilot for each campaign?

It's a bug in retail basically. Or rather it's a case of :v: not realising how far modding would go on FS2.

Figured it was something like that... so basically if it's not in the technical database and you kill one you won't be able to access your pilot in the barracks.  As we all know the database is rather limited, it doesn't include all of the ships in the main campaign, though it does cover all the possible kills.  It would be sweet if someone found a way to stretch the database out, but I don't know jack about how to go about doing that if it is possible.  Oh well.  Thanks.
