Title: How do I turn off Nebula Lightning?

Nebula lightning is totally lagging my FPS and I need to turn it off. How do I do that?

I've tried TOTALLY turning my graphics level to 1 on everything and it still lags (I play the game out of nebulas on full). So it's obviously something to do directly with the lightning.

Playing in D3D by any chance? Try OpenGL from the video tab of the launcher instead.

...and, do you mean "lightning", as in the thundering and flashes going on inside the nebula? 'Cause I don't think they should cause any particular lagging in any kind of computer.

Or do you mean the nebula lighting effects in general?

I suspect he means lightning. I vaguely remember someone asking something similar last week.

press F2 in game and play with the detail settings....
