Title: Space Empire 5 Demo
Post by: Getter Robo G on September 17, 2006, 02:53:20 am

http://www.strategyfirst.com/en/game...esV/downloads/ 128MB

torrent: http://70.66.253.39:6969/torrents/SE...17D982E503851B

The torrent is more reliable.

Same as 4, but better looking interface. I do not like the system layouts now as the get best view you have to soom in, but then can't see whole map (info blocks planets fleets are in orbit of).

Neither of those work (you must have copied the links with '...' in from somewhere that abridges them).

3D graphics are nothing special, but then again, they don't have to be. It kept hte spirit of it's sucessor - you really have a LOT of options here.
Becouse of worm holes (jump points), sattelites, defensive platforms, bases, drones, and all kinds of ships it really is highly tactical.

Interesting to note is that hte developers have allready started giving modding tips and tools. Apparently, the game is very moddalbe and adding your own empire (new ships includng) is easy.

Something tells me I'm gonna be seeing Terrans, Shivans and Vasudans a few days after the game gets released :d Maby even sooner!

This is really extreemly moddalbe.
I just took a look at the file structure - EVERYTHING regarding a empire is in a single empire folder and in bmp  or TXT files.

Models are simple .X files - hell I can do a model for this game in 5 minutes nad put it in. You don't even have to do anything on the model istelf - all engine ports, fire axis, scale and stuff like that are in a separate Empire_ship_sizes flie..

Wicked!
