Nice that you have a new monitor Kazan. I know the feeling. I recently bought a used 20-inch Eizo monitor. Everything is really big and it's nice with 1600x1200 resolution.

Yea well I'm on a 17" loaner from a friend because my 15" will now ONLY work if the core is sitting out aprox 1 inch from the moniter housing (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)

Not really... the size you get used to eventually. What's your refresh rate? That can hurt your eyes too, if it's too low. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
Now, I switch to 1600*1200, and things looks so big (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

yeah but is your Video Card able to handle that resolution?
Even my gloria has a hard time at that res. It works well enough but when I switch to 1200x 762 (I think) my computer is like on anphetamine (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
wheeeee!

I have Windows set to 1152x864 resolution with most games running on 1024x768. I once tried switching Windows to my monitor's 1920x1440 maximum; I couldn't read a thing. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) IMHO anything beyond 1280x1024 makes standard text too small to read, but then again, my vision really sucks. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
17" Flatron from LG... runs 1920*1440 at 90Hz

1152x864 desktop, run most things on 1024x768 except for HL which i use 800x600 to keep my mouse speed real fast
-
my monitor's microprocessor based - ie has it's own microprocessor - it can handle 1600x1200x32bpp at 862 hz (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
Thats.... gulps... a lot...
