How are you trying to bind the axes in the controls setup in the game? Select control -> Press bind -> Move the controller on desired axis?

What kind of a Windows you have (presuming you run Windows OS)?

What build are you using? Are you even perhaps running retail FS2 instead od FS Open?

Are you using any mods/conversions?

What kind of computer do you have?

Do you have a dog, if so what is its name?

Oh, and...

:welcome:

I would give you the full-fledged welcome speech, but I'm too tired right now... someone else will have to deal with proper introduction procedures. ;)

Okay... :)

Do you have any other controllers connected to your PC? If you have, try taking them off and try again (if you haven't already). Then I would check that the one and only connected stick is still selected in the launcher, and if that doesn't work, I would try running the game in compatibility mode.

And, one more question... is it USB or gameport version of the Sidewinder? It shouldn't have any effect if it shows up in the Control panel -> Game Controllers window and is functioning normally, but with computers I've found that anything should be tried, including aligning your pc so that it's aligned to Earth's magnetic field by length, and by your room's energy lines by its height... and be careful with those clicks and especially double-clicks.

Sorry, I'm in a strange mood. I couldn't sleep well. :sigh: :p

Welcome to HLP! Exits are to the right and left. In the event of a landing of any kind, you can and will be used as a flotation device. Flamethrowers are conviniently located under your seats, however, due to the recent funding cuts, a $3.5 million donation is required to obtain a flamethrower with a full load of napalm in it. If you do not wish to make a donation, your flamethrower will remain filled with water. If you don't wish to donate and still want a working weapon, you'd have to try the weapons locker. However, only HLP Admins, a :v: God, or a Hyperintelligent shade of Blue can open the lock, so you'd have to break in. If you find yourself inside a ventilation shaft and you catch a glimpse of a Shivan, you don't need to worry... much. It's just Carl, and you have two choices with how you want to deal with him:
    1. The first possible course of action is getting one of the weapons from the afore-mentioned weapons locker, and trying to ward off Carl by threatening him with the weapon. Be advised that many of the weapons in the weapons locker are covered with the blood of people who thought it a good idea to break into the weapons locker and use the procured weapon to ward off Carl. So, please, if you decide you want to choose this course of action, choose one of the already-bloody weapons, so you don't get blood all over one of the clean ones.
   2. Your second course of action when you see Carl is to throw your lunch to him and hope he isn't hungry. This is the better option.
As a final note, please remember that any attempt to use the ASCII characters 0046h, 0053h, and 0033h in sequential order will result in you being trampled by Freespace Fanboys. Your trampled remains will be fed to Carl so that the rest of us don't have to carry around so much food for lunch.

i solved the problem, thank you

I disconnected 2 other USB controller and resetted it in the control panel (also in advanced and set it as preferred device) and in the game launcher..and it worked

Thx again :)

Good thing you got it working.

You should be able to use the correct controller even with other controllers connected. You could try other options in the "Joystick" page in the Launcher, such as Force 1 or Force 2, which should force the game to use controller by ID.

You could also try JoyIDs (http://www.wingmanteam.com/latest_software/gadgets.htm#Caffeine) program. It is made to change joystick ID's without deconnecting them. Try setting your desired joystick into ID#1 slot and then choose "Win32 Joystick 1" in the LAuncher Joystick options, and it *should* work...

 :)

Some controllers somehow "override" others by grabbing a higher ID number by default. For example, if I connect my Logitech Force Feedback 3D while I have the Saitek Cyborg Evo connected, the system kicks the Saitek to #2 and puts the Logitech onto #1... I dunno why it does this, but JoyIDs is really quite a nice little program for changing the controller ID's "in-flight", so to say.
