Title: Something new for people to play.
Post by: Rhythmic on September 29, 2006, 07:15:49 pm
Since this forum is a bit on the dead side. I'm going to give everybody something new to play.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/iu8dco

It is just one mission[The 4th one] from the campaign I am working on.
Made with newest 3.6.9 fred build.

Mind you. I am a noob at this so if it doesn't work for some reason then well... Maybe somebody else can help fix it  :)

Also, I Hope yall don't mind how simple it is since it is my first real go at this. Basically, The most complex thing I've managed to do with fred has been making a jump point open when fighters come from a jump gate...........

:/

Enjoy.

This forum is not "on the dead side", it's rather that...
...everyone is just taking a deep breath, filling their lungs with exitment, and hoping that this very movements in the air they cause could lift the heavy curtains seperating them from the 3.4 release.  ;)

I'm not saying the simple the better but we all started small... and that is the best way it is
I would like to see and to check it (don't use "fix" here - you don't want to give in that it might be "bugy", do you?) but I'm off and gone for 2 weeks in nearly half an hour... but there are other great and not-that-great-but-still-great FRED-knowers (all who FRED are great guy and are to be admired! - THAT'S AN ORDER, DAMIT!)

We all learn by doing. Getting the jump point to open properly on cue isn't exactly a trivial thing to do. I've seen people with a fair bit more experience than you get it wrong. Now you know how you can move on and learn other techniques.

We are all here to help and if you feel you need more guidance there is always the FRED Academy.

What build are you using? Because it was made with the 3.6.9rc7 build in mind. You might also need to do some tweaking with tables to get a newer build to work.

I got a similar error when I tried testing the missions after I built some using 3.6.9 and was still using much older 3.6.7s. Cleared it all up when I completly updated everything.
