This has been on the back burner for awhile, but after significant prodding from Admiral Nelson, I finally brought it to the front burner. :) Look in the Editors menu for Voice Acting Manager, and let me know what you think. :)

You mean http://fs2source.warpcore.org/exes/fred2_open_voiceacting.rar (http://fs2source.warpcore.org/exes/fred2_open_voiceacting.rar), right?
-

All fear and bow down before the mighy Goober5000!
For he has the power to silence all who oppose him, or point out minor errors.
-
Indeed. :p Though I've decided to restore those posts.
-

Odd. That doesn't happen for me.

I get it too. strange.
also, might I ask what the export briefings/debriefs/messages/all is for?
-
mmm is god to can transcribe the talks... but what is he use of the "generate file names"?

I imagine it's so you can filter the output to only include the chosen message types (briefing, debrief et al).
-
Excellent stuff. Fast and effective, 100,000 times better than futzing around with the mission files as was previously required.
I also have the truncated message box as shown in the screen shot.
-
Looks fine here

So you don't have to go through every single line entering the "WAV File Name" for the voice file.

Yup.

Yeah, redownload the EXEs. I compiled it on a wide-screen laptop, so it must have given me a little more space than I actually had. Sorry about that.

I can normally dl .rar files on my portable device :) no joy with this though. It says it's not found on the server. I'm amid a power cut at the moment so i'll wait til the council get the reactors back online or whatever they need to do, then try the old "use my phone as a proxy trick" and hit the link through firefox. :)

That file was deleted. Any recent FRED build should have the feature.
-
Oh it's native?
Not a seperate prog??
WHOOP!!
Cheers Count Goober..
