Title: College art degree portfolio help

Hey guys :) I'm looking to go into Digital Arts as my major for college. I was wondering; what sort of portfolio should I have? How many pieces? What sort of breadth? Can I use my 3D models? If so, how can I show them?

If you can, post the course description, different courses are looking for different kinds of art - more specialized courses want a narrower cross-section but better quality and vice versa. In my experience, they're usually looking for 10-15 pieces. Also, be prepared to "explain" each portfolio piece, mostly I think because they just want to see you squirm.
