Title: A Couple of Well Balanced Documentaries on Life Here
Post by: Sandwich on October 05, 2006, 08:55:07 pm
Ok, so... this girl I know here is dating this guy, Adrian, who's an independant video journalist or something along those lines. Anyway, she sent me the links to a couple of his recent documentaries, and they're quite good. Balanced, professional, and almost video-blog-like - in a good way. Also utterly lacking in the over-processed garbage you get from most major news sources - somewhat akin to United 93 as opposed to a typical Hollywood film.

The martyrdom video was pretty damn good. What exactly do your people think of those crazies Sandwhich?

It's been a while since we've given a real discussion along these lines without it degenerating into crappiness. Let's start one.

I tend to think that, generally speaking, they're brainwashed by the culture. We underestimate what an influence education has on the development of a society. It can make the most horrendous acts seem desirable, or the most caring act seem stupid.
