uh, yea, OOPS. Dark Hunter was helping me upgrade to the new FS Open/SCP, and I kinda f***ed it up. Here's what's wrong:
help me fix it please....

Looks like a missing .VP or texture file.
-
Uhh... No in that case it would disappear completely...
-
Perhaps a mis-read texture file?
OK, media_vp list:
mv_models
mv_textures
mv_effects
mv_music
mv_core
mv_adveffects (optional)
mp-710_models
mp-710_effects
mp-710_adveffects (only if you have mv_adveffects)
Those should be the ones you have (if you're running 3.6.9, if not, then disregard the mp-710's). You have all of them, right?
(Why is this question in the FRED forum?)
-
guess which one I'm missing?
yep, the textures..... \spartan hunts for missing .vp
EDIT: Hunter, can you bring them on Monday? I'll try to bring the cable....

No idea. Moving.

You've got use specular for env mapping on?
If so, turn it off. It did something similar to me.
-
yea, I do, I'll try it and see what happens..... (still, Hunter, I need those .vps...)
-
Running in D3D + alpha env mapping would produce that exact effect on most of the ships I've HTLed, and on most cockpit glass too I think.
-
The latest mediaVPs include a high-poly Triton, and cargo for the Triton. It looks like you've got the low-poly original versions. What versions of the mediaVP and SCP are you using?
-
It's a HP triton - you can tell that from the engine pylon thingie. :)
The cargo is the low poly one though, so it's quite possible it's an older media vp too - but I think he'd have the same problems with env mapping under d3d no matter which is used.

silly, I got it fixed, via Dark Hunter
