Title: Getting started w/ OS X
Post by: berkleebassist on October 10, 2006, 12:38:11 pm
I saw the topic on getting started w/ FS2_Open on Windows, but wanted to ask if there's anything else I should be doing under OS X, before I get knee-deep in this stuff, and if perhaps there's any updated links to all the upgrade materials.  Thanks!

Most of the info you can find in the HLP forums applies to all versions.  The main exception being that there is no Launcher for OS X (or Linux), so it's slightly more of an issue to switch between various mods and set the various options.  It's not impossible to deal with though, just takes a little patience.

There is a site created by one of the OS X guys, and it's an in-progress thing, so it's not 100% complete yet.  It should give you some good info to get started though, with some general tips, download links, etc.: http://web.mac.com/bclodfe2/

See, that's what I like to see. No taking up half a ****ing page with useless, nubish prattle. Just the standard, classic welcome beam.
