Post by: igsbyjodo on October 11, 2006, 11:56:42 am
Can this be made a sticky informative topic to all new fsport-ers?

Here is a list to all known FSPort mods:

Destiny Of Peace:
All missions are included in custom missions in FSPort,
there is also Admiral Nelson's redone version somewhere around,
but he is making an officialy supported one in a while so be patient...

Silent Threat - Reborn:
Currently in the making (and hopefully out before Duke Nukem ForNever) ;-)

plz add any other that you are aware of...

EDIT1:

(get it if you want better nebulaes and put it in the MediaVPs folder,
but to actualy be able to see them the mod itself must support them)

Well, we don't have our own donation site, but you could donate to HLP. :) I think you get $5 free just by signing up.

You get 5 bucks for registering at paypal, is that what you meant to say?

Well it kind of defeats the purpouse for me since i dont have a credit card,
but i can strongly recommend to more fortunete ones that it is money well spent on HLP and SCP guys cause they invest more devotion to their projects then high profile companies which charge 50 bucks to millions of buyers.

One simple question thats been bugging me a lot lately:

Some mods ask for Lightspeeds nebuale pack to be able to display them,
but as i (correctly?) understand they are already included in the mediavps,
BUT even if i put mediavps to be second(a)ry folder, they arent displayed
UNLESS i put LSs nebulae pack in the actual mod (data\effects) folder too !!!???

Are they actualy different, or are they in adveffects which i dont use,
or is it something else ?
Also, do i need stars.tbl from LSs pack or not
(works either way but clarification will be most welcome) ?

Get the version from my thread about this subject over inFreespace Upgrade on this very subject and put it in your mediavps folder.

Ok, so the answer realy is that they ARE a completely different sets,
and that i should keep the stars.tbl too cause it only adds to any other existing ones, and does not cause any conflicts.

Tnx Admiral Nelson thats one more salmon of a doubt out of the way,
and adding link to your simplified package of LSs nebulae pack for those less
experienced who dont know where each file should go.
