Open the file.As you can see, many missions are missing(I have changed it to 16bit in order to be sure of attaching it).
I have reduced the number of missions in the missions folder(there were TOO MANY of them :D ) but the problems remains.I can't play them and verify if my latest changes are appropriate. I know that there's something strange because I can't import backgrounds from the missions which don't appear in th elist while I can do it with the others. I have RC7 FS Open and Fred Open.

Make the mission names shorter for those ones that don't show up.
-
I know I would have changed tis thread's name to "Karajorma Help Me One More Time" :D
What do you intend for names? The ones specified in mission specs or the file names?
There are missions showing up that have long mission file and/or mission spec names.
Is mission designer's name included, because I think i wrote "Admiral Edivad feat. LieutenantGeneralMobius" in one mission or "feat. LGM". <-----one or two missions at max for this reason but I'm missing most campaign...
-
Filenames. :)
If you look at the missions which showed up you should notice that they all have shorter filenames :)
-
But stead_01_01 is missing while stead_01_25-scrap not....
-
You're not saving BMP files as missions again are you? :p
Cause otherwise I'm stumped as to what's going on.

:eek2:
I'd love to hear the story behind this. :)

I think you'll have to ask Mobius about that one. All I know is that the campaign editor was crashing out because it was trying to read the mission info from what it had every reason to think was an .fs2 but was actually a renamed bmp file.
-
That thing with the BMPs has nothing to do with this problem. They're normal fs2 files,I can open them with FRED and save without problems, but I can't import backfgrounds from them.
They don't appear in the mission simulator list....
I noticed that i use two different builds of FRED(one here and one with another computer). The second one doesn't have the "player under AI control" in mission specs and "import background"in background. That's strange because I was sure that I'm using the same version.
I can open with this computer's FRED missions from the other one but I haven't tried the contrary. Also,a mission transfered from the other computer is showed in the list.
Another thing, slightly offtopic:I often listen USilv beam loops and Sath Sbspc ones when I play, when actually there are no Jugg/Superjuggernauts...

Hey?Any suggestions?I can't stay here with half the campaign not playable!!!
-
What happens to the missions which don't show up if you get rid of all the other missions?
-
Which builds are you using? Cause you should be using 3.6.9 RC7
-
Wow,I have fixed it!!!!
<Time ago I have created an fc file with the missions, except the 4th which was introduced later and the scrapped ones.Of course missions that are part of a campaign aren't playable with Mission Simulator....>

Doh! Should have thought of that one straight off. Problem was it was so obvious I didn't think of it as being likely :D

"This mission has those ships, maybe Inferno doesn't accept so many ships from FS2,ecc..."
