Have a look at Cylonix (http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~clark/cylonix.html) an 18 channel digital vocoder. Formerly shareware, Cylonix is now unsupported freeware.
Check out the various sample sounds on the page to hear just a few of the things this can do. I think it'd be perfect for doing Vasudan effects.
