No, you convert the .MVE-files to .EXE so you can watch them.

I still have the MVEExtract Beta 2 version. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I don't think there is any way to make custom MVE files though. (thanks to Interplay :P )

Careful folks, you could get HLP in trouble.

If memory serves, wasn't this the proggy that Interplay forced Dnet to remove from the site? On legal grounds? Or is this something different?

If it's different, my apologies. If it is the same, they pretty much said it was illegal. And with the DCMA now in force (insert disgusted sound here, stupid law), the penalties for sites that even link to material like this can be stiff.

And I like HLP, it's fun to read   (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) Hate to see them get in trouble   (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

If it is something different, I want it too  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

How many version of the MVEEXTRACT is there? I thought there was only the one which allowed people to extract and convert .MVE movies into .EXE versions.

Anyway, whatever it may be, this thread better not be found by Interplay or someone related to them.

HLP Staff, do your stuff. You know. That thing you do.
