How in the HELL did that line get so popular? Was it because William Shatner shouted it?
I never know how trends get started, no matter how much I think about it.
-
Geez, can you shorten that down a bit?
-
I stole it from the Grognards forum. :nervous:
-
because star trek 2 was hella cool, even thoough the bad guys looked roughly like a glam band, they shoulda looked like hippies like they did before.
and its the first one of the 3 startrek movies that stole the plot of moby dick
-
You know, I don't think there is a better name you could yell.

Pale Blue Khan: A Khantheist's point of view.

Proving your title, eh there Cobra?
I wouldn't consider spamming so much any kind of a special privilege.

How the **** does this fall under the category of spamming? It's a genuine question! What, would you have preferred if I had posted this at Warpstorm?

Khan chasing Kirk relentlessly, eh?
-
It's a genuine question, but it's not the kind of thing that you start a thread on HL over. Yeah, it's more of a WS Rift question.
But asking the question in the first place just shows some general ignorance about the way that internet fads work. Why did it get so popular? Because a lot of people found it funny.
I dunno how many years it's been since it peaked.

"KHAAANNN!" isn't an internet fad. It's been one of William Shatner's most famous lines since the moment it was uttered. Probably because of its incredibly over-the-top delivery of such a goofy name.
-
Oh come on! THE Shatner yealls the name. Then the view goes in to orbit of a planet, while the name echoes in the vacuum. Now how frigging awsome is that?
-
yeah the big pull back nails it as cinema gold...
-
Because it's awesome. Duh.
-
Wow, long time no see! :)
Khan is cool, and part of it's popularity, I think, is the fact that every so often someone asks 'What's the deal with this Khan thing?' ;)

Star Trek + Kirk = Goodness
Wish i saw the TV series along With the movie series (only saw the movie series).
-
you are no true star trek fan if you've only watched the movies. :P
-
I find myself agreeing with Cobra.
Someone bring me cleansing fire, immediately.
-
Don't worry, I'm sure this non-nooby statement of his is just a fluke. :p
but anyway... *sets fire to vyper*
-
I stole it from the Grognards forum. :nervous:
wow, who did i piss off to lose access to that while everyone and their brother gets access?
-
I don't get access. :blah:
-
you just need to be 2^12

Dude, Picard could kick Kirk's ass! *Adjusts wide-rimmed glasses*

With what? At least Kirk has pockets and hair. What does Picard have, other than female minions in tight clothes?

Female minions in tight clothes.
all he has to do is get Kirkshatner into a steamy alien embrace and infect him with some exotic STD. Or steal his toupee.
-
Now, now... Kirk is a good dude.
Remember, the Federation expanded drasticly during (and right after) his time.
Probably becosue of all the family ties with humanity that popped up all over Alpha quadrant :D
-
...And Picard effectively destroyed all life in the ****ing galaxy in "All Good Things...". Only thing Kirk ever came close to destroying was his bedsprings.
-
Maybe the odd business too, Remember that dude who had three biatches lined up for miners. Honest enough, 3 lonely guys + 3 willing women = £££ and kirk comes along and ends up p1$$i1ng all over the honest plan.
What was that guys name, i forgot :p
-
Wasn't it Kirk who wen't to kick Gods ass in the galactic center (or something like that)? And furthermore, when Kirk gets his shirt ripped off, its a turn on for both male and female gender. And he get's his shirt ripped off often. But shirtless picard listening classical music will cause a severe case of death in viewers.
And Kirk still has pockets.

:eek2: Orly?
-
Ok. Maybe not a turn on for males, but at least a cause for envy.
-

His name was Mudd.
Literally :)

Cause for envy, i for one am in shape, I have a rippling set of muscles, lean, not beefy. Cut like a diamond...
Oh yeah !
@ Kaj, many thanks It was at the back of my mind, along with some very, very wrong stuff i'd rather forget

I... don't believe it. Harry Mudd!
Chekov: Harry Mudd programmed you?
Androids: Yes, my lord.
Chekov: That un-principle, evil-minded lecherous "kruak" (it's russian, bear with me) programmed you?
Androids: Yes, my lord.
Chekov: This place is even better than Leningrad.

I actually much prefer Picard, but this picture series is really funny.
