Title: Would this convince you?

Doing an ad that's basically supposed to convince people to come and register on a forum for a site which I built for the magazine at which I work. Hell, as long as it catches people's eye, I'm happy. BTW, it's a double page spread, though the magazine is smaller than normal size.

It's all using quotes from the actual forum and random images of wierd people. I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out. At least it's got tons of character. I don't usually post design stuff here, but I'm interested in what fresh eyes will see, since I can no longer look at it objectively.

Hehe, very good work. You might want to fix the photochop of the big fat guy - his hair is kinda cut-off at the top.

You shouldn't. At least if you value proper punctuation and complete sentences. Honestly, I'm not claiming it's anything better or different than a thousand forums, but then again it's targeted at a very narrow demographic: college or university student in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). So if they're going to waste their time somewhere, might as well be my somewhere.

Okay, I think I get it.

I mean it certainly doesn't appeal to me, but then again if it wasn't meant for me intentionally, maybe someone who wasn't me would find it appealing.
