No. Unfortunately, I'm underage. I'm going on Christmas vacation to my grandparents whose computer is being replaced.

Old people shouldn't have computers. No offence to yer grandparents or anything. I don't think that anyone should be able to just buy a computer. It should have to be earned.

Please tell me they don't have a website....or use AOL  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/mad.gif).

AOL, Geocities, Yahoo and Compuserve (and Microsoft to a lesser extent) are responsible for the present state of the internet. It use to be that clever people bought computers because they realised that this secret little group was a valuable tool. You used to own a computer for 5 years and then make the bold step of buying a modem to get on the immense gathering of minds known as the 'Information Super-Highway'.

Now little 6 year old's get laptops for christmas, fill the internet with a site that looks like it's been hax0red and is just pictures ripped from other sites. They buy massive domain names that some poor company needed to make sure they didn't have to lay off 2000 workers and they sell all their old crap at extortionate prices on the auctions. Eventually the porn dealers decide to flood the place with completely crap, over-priced pornography. The invention of the first pop-up window is not seen for the demon that it is. Companies, porn sites and six year olds barrage search engines with meta-tags that have nothing to do with their sites. The internet descencds into chaos, a hunting ground for script-kiddies and a hell in cyberspace for the real computer geeks.

I know this sounds like the rant of a kiddy whose about 10 minutes away from being shot-down by a real vet but it ain't. I've had a computer for like 11 years. I can type about eight times faster than I write. I use to open stuff in Dosshell. I remember reading an article on the CD and how it would revolutionise computing and kill of the measly 3.5's just as the 5 1/4's had been wiped out. I owned the first commercially available home CD drive, that crappy one where you had to push it and it clicked out. I remember looking in awe at my uncles 2mb video card and joking about 128mb's being holographic. The internet revolution has become an internet revulsion and soon it will come to an end. Either those who were there at the beginning will rise up and take back the internet or corporate whores will reing supreme and preside over the demise of the greatest acheivement of human kind to date. Just wait....

Wow, I'm posting some deep ****  tonight.

Believe me, we've a long way to go before that - for one thing we don't have Blade here posting hundreds of SMG pictures.
