Title: PCS Texture Woes
Post by: Cobra on November 28, 2006, 11:40:45 am
So I load up PCS and load the Amazon Basic drone, textures in a desginated folder. Instead of getting a nice, textured Amazon drone, I get either a completely white or purple, whatever, colored Amazon. Can't tell what's up with it, and it makes editing dockpoints VERY hard.

Are you sure PCS is configured correctly? IIRC, it's a little backwards and halfassed in regard to texture locations.

Well yeah, it should be. It used to work when I tried to turret and add subsystems to the Constitution last year.

yes. poorly.you have to like have an uninstall directory registry setting set properly and have your textures exported to a folder on the total opposite end of the hard drive as the model file, but, yeah, it is posable to fenegle it into drawing texture.

id like a model editor/converter that actually supports the same formats that freespace does, complete with alpha. in an ideal world it should have the same renderer, so it looks exactly the same as it does in game.
