A leftist ally of Chavez is elected in Ecuador (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6193496.stm). Reagan's old foe comes back from the dead to become President (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6117704.stm) of Nicaragua. And now El Commandante himself gets re-elected (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6205128.stm) about 30 points ahead of his rival. Six more years of hilarity to ensues. And finally, to add insult to injury,John "The 'stache" Bolton quits (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6207054.stm), just weeks after Rummy was forced to resigned.
I don't know about you people, but I'm going to take a minute to enjoy this moment. Proof, after all, that everyone gets their comeupance sooner or later.

Things never looked up for bush.

So are these elections all determined by popular vote? Cause they kinda humiliate the 49% and 51% results american races always get.

Have you seen Walken's work? Presidential Press-conferences would be ****ing awesome. Not to mention there'd be no more zoos; the animals would go free.

Well as actors go, he's better than Reagan was! ;)

Things haven't looked up for Bush since the War and the rest of his miserable little programs. This isn't surprising (pleasant to hear, but not surprising).
-
Don't highlight the following text if you don't want to hate me for life:
I have a bush on my crotch...
-
Things ain't looking up for Bush.
Uhh... did they ever? The only reason he's in power is because of the mass amounts of southern rednecks.

It's pretty easy to convince a populace to vote for you when you throw welfare money at them, declare the leader of the most powerful nation in the world as the boogeyman that you'll protect them from, and most likely have teams of "convincers" out in the vicinity of the polling places to help remind your voters who has the power.
Remember, Saddam Hussein always won his elections by a landslide...100%.

Meh, seems to be a choice between a government that tells everyone outside the borders what they ought to be doing to be'properly democratic' or a government that tells everyone inside the borders exactly the same thing.
If I were an American, I would understand why they'd rather have Bush pissing out of the Tent than Clinton pissing into it. It's not like either party is really going to do something about the problems of over-corporatism or industry led social policies, because it's those very problems that provide the funding for the people who are promising to cure them.
