Man that was a great movie... i could go on for ages.. and im sure i missed things because my new GF was distracting me (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

I'm with Kazan - saw this puppy last night and IMO they did a good job on it - the only part I didn't like (and I know this was mean't to happen) was that it finished like... without warning. Oh well - great film in all other respects.

If they had been able to put everything, it would have been legendary. If I had the money, I would go and see it again, and again, and even then maybe again.

Read the Trilogy, who said you had to wait to find out what happens next? Its a great movie, you get so absorbed you dont notice how much time has passed.

This movie ROCKS! Saw it last sunday. The battle scene at the start was AMAZING.

Run over: Walking down the hill from school, holding hands and talking. All very nice until I make a joke, and she playfully pushes me. Into the middle of the road. Right in front of a bus coming down the hill. If it wasn't for my mate grabbing my bag and yanking me back onto the pavement, I wouldn't be here.
Arrested: Different G/F BTW. After seeing a cop car goes "Hold this for a second would you?" and runs off after off loading her pot tin on me. The cop car stops. I shove it in my pocket, but it still stinks. Cop gets out. ASks me for directions (They were temps brought in from Bath- I read about it later in a newspaper). As he's walking away goes "Can you smell something?". I just say "Sorry mate, must have been sommit I ate". Thank god for naive policemen!
As for sadistic, quite possibly. I don't seem to have the best luck with them.
To go back on topic however, how did they create th battle scene?

only thing I still wonder about, why the hell did they make Saruman responsible for what happen on the karadhras (sp?)??? I know a movie needs a bad guy, but really, saruman is turned from an anecdotic character (he becomes more important in The Two towers), to a character seen every 15 minutes... that's a bit too much for me. And as far as I know, he's not more powerul that Gandalf. Oh well.

Saruman was supposed to be a very slippery character who had great powers of persuasion.
He wasn't meant to have power over the "physical domain".
Sauron had powers like that because that was the group of gods he came from origionally (maiar of Aule to be exact)
Nobody knows much about saruman as tolkien never completed the entire work.

Nope nope, Sauron wasn't a god, he was the first lieutenant of Morgoth, (but Morgoth was a god indeed). I don't remember where does Sauron comes from exactly.
