Hi,
I'm currently playing again the whole FS1port campaign, and will play FS2SCP with other mods after. In one word: it's awesome, and far better now than today's other commercial games (darkstar one, ...)
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for your awesome work, and for ppl to be cool on the IRC channel and forum. I had some troubles as many SCP noobs at first, but many of you gave me the answers I needed. The SCP community simply rocks.
I know what amount of work has to be done to build a good mod as I'm a bit of a modder myself (check u5lazarus.com)
So great work, and thanks again !

On behalf of the SCP and the FSPort, you're welcome. :)

Where is this FreeSpace 1 port to FreeSpace 2, as well as any documentation about it?
I just rebought FreeSpace off Amazon for $2.99 (my old CD's were scratched useless by the old cardboard CD case), and installed it. I'm still having alot of fun playing it, but I'm curious how close it was adhered to in this port. The graphics don't mean alot to me- I'll play the old FreeSpace using the old graphics and still love it- but if the port is the exact same as the first FreeSpace, then the graphics upgrade couldn't hurt.
Voice acting, cutscenes, mission briefings, are they all in the port? If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.
Forgot to ask- and silly me if this is true- does it come with FreeSpaceOpen?

The Port is compatible with both Retail and Open.

Everything you need for the Port should have been included in the Installer you ran.

Well it's still running :)

I see, cool stuff- Thanks!
Happy to know it's the same game, just different look.
