Title: Farscape
Post by: Centrixo on December 18, 2006, 06:28:45 pm
hey, anyone know about Farscape?

Why not start a campaign on the scarens vs the peacekeepers in search for Chriton and Moya. like a step by step recreation of the battle that ensued and all because Chriton had the subspace info in his head. im certain it would look well cool.

That's a pretty cool idea! But I can see two small problems with it. One; the engine really isn't suited to the number of Farscape ships seen in that war you're talking about, and two; we don't have any Farscape ships seen in that war you're talking about.

Other than that, sounds like fun. :)

Albeit didn't Moyas' main battle tactic consist of running away very very fast?

Calm yer shams, sunshine. :)

A cursory examination of many of our 'internets' so-called 'search engines' will reveal 'data' on many 'subjects'.  One such 'result' is this summary page; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farscape

Farscape was pretty obscure so it is no suprise that Titan doesn't know a thing about it. It was obscure enough that SG1 episode 200 (special episode) referenced that obscurity in quite the humorous way.

Referenced it?  Two of the show's current regulars are FROM Farscape.

That said, I'm sure digging up some models for the ships shouldn't be too hard (very dedicated and geeky fanbase).  What would be hard would be pleasing said fanbase (scales are screwy, weapon power is nonexistant, etc, etc).

Still, it would be neat to pilot a Prowler.

My favorite line from Farscape, in the first episode.

Chriton grabs a weapon from a Peacekeeper guard then, holding it backwards, points it at the guard.

"FREEZE or I'll fill you full
*accidentially fires the weapon and the shot richochets around the stairwell*
of little... yellow... bolts of light?"
