Post by: haloboy100 on December 20, 2006, 12:50:39 am
this may be the wrong thread....but here goes.

*possible spoilers*

On the mission when you have to kill fred 2 in a 1 on 1 duel after you kill his sathanas form my screen jus goes completly white and i can't warp out. i can still hear my self shooting and stuff though

i know this had been asked before but thanks in advance anyway.

It should take 180 seconds to fade out completely. Are you using Direct3D or Open GL? I've heard some things about fade-out not working under Direct3D.

i can see what was going on, but bearly!.

but apart from that i have throughly enjoyed jad and jad2, that person who created that campaign deserves a medal.

Yay me.

So are you using Direct3D? If you use OpenGL the fade should be a bit slower so you can make your way to the end. But if you are using OpenGL then... um.... I dunno. :p

:nervous:

well actually i used the fast forward feature (shift + >) all the way until i got X64 speed (at least i think it was since I COULDEN'T SEE A DAMN THING) and i think i'm using openGL and i waited like 5 frikin minutes...

EDIT: Sorry, here's a Dark Hunter Quick Fix:

Looking at the mission in question, it should take 180000 ms (180 seconds) to completely fade out to white. If its doing it right away then it looks like a bug.

Sweet, no spoiler tags working. Oh well, highlight below for spoilers.
The Temporal Anomaly mission is randomly placed. So if you fail that after the duel mission, you have to make your way back to the duel mission to replay it.

Open up the launcher and click on the video tab. Look for Direct3D8 or OpenGL.

Why in the bloody hell is that the "Dark Hunter" Quick Fix? I don't remember ever offering advice on how to fix anything dealing with the Orioshepsut (which BTW is one of the funniest things I've seen in JAD, topped only by the disco sequence).

I think he means the "fake" spoiler tags.

I saw Dark Hunter do it, then I did it. I gave Dark Hunter credit for it becuase it was his idea (I think), not mine...

Spoiler:
BTW, is the Orionsepsut supposed to die? Please tell me it is...

Quit with the non-functioning spoiler tags Spartan. :p

And yes, it is supposed to die.

What does non-sunctioning mean?

You're not playing one of the missions right, Spartan.

Remember what the Volition Bravos said...

If you know what you're doing, you can end the campaign by never dueling FRED. ;)
Title: Re: Problem with JAD 2....
Post by: haloboy100 on December 21, 2006, 05:11:32 pm
he never said that.....and hwo am i supposed to NOT duel fred?
Title: Re: Problem with JAD 2....
Post by: Axem on December 21, 2006, 05:55:16 pm
The campaign can end in the Temporal Anomaly mission. There's nothing stopping you from finishing the campaign before you duel FRED.

And the Bravos do say how you are supposed to "win" at that mission.

Dont kill the science cruiser, let it warp out. thats after you killed fred.

Thats what happens when you're stuck in a time loop. Just ask that guy from groundhog day.

Don't encourage him and the offtopic post at the same time.

I actually went through the loop twice before figuring out (with Axem's help :D) that I need to destroy the anomaly ship. The looop had me thinking that there was some sort of FRED error going on.

After I beat it(took me three times) I tried to replay it without destroying it the first time.
