Title: Fighter/Bomber with standup cockpit.
Post by: bizzybody on December 20, 2006, 02:48:07 am
I did this one all this evening, spent most of the time on those @#%#^$%@ upper engine pods. The pilot stands upright in the front. There's a short ordnance pod pylon on each flank, other armament(?) use your imagination. ;)

As usual, not textured, heck, I didn't even slap it with any of the default tS UV map types. I make models and right suck at doing textures. :P

not bad, but i would see that shape better for a large ship...
or, for a large bomber, with a turret on the bottom side. (i don't think a pilot will like to stand up for entire missions...)

It's SPACE. I think that'd actually be a more comfortable position.

I doubt it matters if you don't have gravity (which isn't a requisite for piloting the thing, surely)

One small thing to note, most of the body was shaped from a nine sided cylinder. Why? Cuz there's a thread on here where someone *****ed about Terran ships and octagons. ;)
