what is this about? On certain campaigns im getting this error and ironically its the same line, 1899.

a missing model pof file maybe?

I had that problem with a campaign I downloaded some time ago, but the campaign was playable anyway if I remember correctly.

I don't think there is a .pof missing... when I hack tables and forget to put the .pof in the "models" folder, that error says clearly "Can't open model file <XXX.pof>".

I've seen that error from time to time, it's a bugger to track down the cause. Is there any specific point the game crashes at, or is it just when you start Freespace 2?
