That should be all of them. I gather from lurking (which is usually helpful yeah?) that the more info I post about the error, the better, so here goes:
Just completed SOC mission One in Derelict. While the game doesn't crash, I'm concerned by what those errors mean, so I'm not launching the mission 'till I get a goahead.

Two other things:
1. Is this in the right place?
2. Do I get a welcome beam?

The problem is caused by you using too old a build. You could just go to the SCP forum and grab a new build from the RC7 release thread in the Recent Builds subforum but I'd advise simply upgrading your entire install to be honest. If you've got an old build it's likely you also have old media VPs etc too. You might be better off clearing your entire install following these instructions (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/karajorma/FAQ/installingfs2_open.html#upgrade).

If you installed mods to their own folder you don't need to get rid of them but you shouldn't have anything in the main folder that isn't in the picture on that page.

Then you only need to run this installer (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,42854.0.html).

Too old of a build of FSO? I just updated it though x.x
And yes, all the mods are in seperate folders, and all the .vp files they use are currently .vpdisabled files.

To 3.6.7?

Cause if so take a look at the original post date for that.

Full path to the executable is
Code: [Select]
C:\Games\FreeSpace2\fs2_open_367_p4.exeThat means that it's 3.6.7 yeah?
Also version of the launcher is 5.3.0.0 and version of the executables is 1.0.0.1 for both
Code: [Select]
C:\Games\FreeSpace2\fs2_open_367_p4.exe and
Code: [Select]
C:\Games\FreeSpace2\fs2_open_367_p4_d.exeAny other info I can give to assist in diagnosis, let me know.

PS: Yes I like Code tags. :P

Yep. That's the Pentium4/Athlon optimised version of 3.6.7. In other words a build nearly a year and a half old :)

Check the recent builds forum and grab RC8 or follow the link I gave above to the installer.

Redoing my entire install because I decided it's just not worth the hastle of untangling everything. I have the latest CVS build as of 11/30 and the 5.4 launcher. I'm mainly using CVS because I want the voice recogniotion. But now it tells me I'm missing OpenAL32.dll and that the flag file can't be read...
Any help?
Yes, yes my search-fu is weak. >.<

1. Install OpenAL (http://fs2source.warpcore.org/exes/latest/OpenALwEAX.exe).
2. Try deleting launcher6.ini

Ok, everything (sans voice recog) seems to be running a-ok. Am I to understand that the voice recognition has been borked ever since RandomTiger left? Did they leave? Am I asking way too many questions???

1. Check the Recent Builds subforum of the SCP board for a voice-rec compatible build.
2. Left != Overloaded by Real Life Responsibilities. RandomTiger will most likely be back.
3. At least they're polite questions.  :)

I'm sorry, you've just described most of the people on this forum. Could you be more specific?  :P

I've been told that Release Candidate 8 has voice recognition built in.
