Title: A way to use cutscene-sexps (and a campaign teaser)
Post by: Admiral MS on January 02, 2007, 01:03:23 pm
This mission should show what is possible when using cutscene sexps including a way to come around the missing "move-camera-sexp". It was finished some days ago but any build later then 3.6.9 RC 7 made real problems. I fixed it but fade-out and fade-in are still not working like before and therefore looking strange.
It is also a "intro-mission" for a campaign I'm planning to do.

I'm very interested in your opinion on how good the mission is :)

I would play it but I don't have SCP. ::)

Just finished playing through it.  The actual "mission" portions are not all that great, as the lack of background and lackluster dialogue really sort of kill the atmosphere.

On the other hand the "cutscene" portions are great.  Good camera placement and plent of action really make it interesting.  The dialogue could use a little work, and some of the ship names (GTCv Trust?) are a little off.

Not a bad piece of work if I do say so myself.  It just needs a little fine tuning.

Just saw that the whole dialogue at the beginning doesn't show up... looks like Fred didn't save the last change
*uploads a new version*

Altogether the cutscene (and little mission) should be like a intro for the campaign...
