Title: help with winRAR
Post by: CougEr on January 08, 2002, 12:14:00 am

Yep, I need some help...
I'm still in North Queensland and...
well, since my lap top has so much music (majority of 3 gigs as my MP3 collection)
I started it to play some of my favourite playlists here. Locals heard it and next thing  I'm spinning music at the local night spot here as CougEr  Sydney's DJ guest.
Hehe, it was fun and I met most of the locals last Saturday.
They asked me back this coming Saturday and I deceided to extend my visit another week.

Wouldn't you?

I need to mix some of the just downloaded new hits of the last 2 days.
I have Sound Forge 4.5d. the  latest version, I think.
Perfect!
Just what I need right now, One problem, it's RAR.  I have winAR and I managed to uncrompress it but all I ended up with is two files:
 sf45d.bin  and a sf45d.cue files.
Nothing I have seem to open the suckers for set up of the Sound Forge program.
I have a suspition that it might be the two files that constitude a mirror image copy.

I have no CD writer. Is there any chance anyone could suggest a way to uncompress Sound forge, so I can do some mixing to play back next Saturday?
Of course the mix of the night will be available after on my server as an MP3, CougEr's mix.

Please help if you know of a way...

Those are indeed image files.
Open up the .bin-file with ISObuster ("http://users.pandora.be/smart.projects/isobuster1.htm") or Fireburner.

I did!
Isobuster came to the help but even after extracting the set up and all the files required to set up the program it tells me that the source is not the original instal CD.    (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)
so close, and yet so far...
I have to use cd corwin to burn the image files on a CD then I can instal from the CD rom drive.
ohhh well, tomorrow I'll see if I can cheat the drive letter in the cript file  somehow.

  I have low hopes thou...
