hey guys. i'm trying to convert my .ogg music files to .mp3 format so i can use them as custom music in star wars galaxies. i need a program that will convert them cause changing the extensions isint working (just won't play). if nobody has anything like that then it would still be nice if i could get some freespace or halo music files in mp3 format.
thanks in advance

-
you can re-format in winamp? can you tell me how?
-
We do not in anyway support piracy of free programs. :p
-
I use soundkonverter... I'm sure there's something similar for Windoze.
-
can you give me a link to it? and ar eyou talking about windows sound recorder? cause that doesen't work.
-
Just babbling on about Linux... don't mind me.
Actually try Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) it'll work if all your doing is turning OGGs into MP3s
-
Lolz @ Linux.
But yea, Audacity is quite good, and can get most of what you want to do, done.
-
i sure hope so....

SUPER (http://www.erightsoft.net/SUPER.html#Dnload) (Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer) can convert pretty much anything into pretty much anything else. Mostly audio and video files, including the best (free) conversion to FLV that I could find (although this isn't exactly what you asked.)

audacity is a damn good program, it has all the features of sound forge or any other sound editing program, yet its open source.
-
Use the Re-encoding feature in VLC Media player. Go open source! :pimp:
VLC is also great for playing fragmented or corrupt files which are half downloaded by such programs as LimeWire or by torrents.

Winamp now has a re-encoder function.
