Title: Interceptor missiles problem

Ok here's the deal,

After you've been introduced to the interceptor missile (in Advanced training #2, I believe) I am unable to select them in the weapons loadout screen in the next mission, "The Darkness and the Light". Also, when I go to the tech room the only thing listed is Interceptor#Weak.

I've read around and I've seen a similar problem being mentioned, where both Interceptor and Interceptor#Weak has been visible. But not just #Weak.


I've already restarted the campaign once and I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this.

It's just a storyline bug.  The Interceptor isn't actually developed until "The Aftermath", which is a few missions later.  They gave you the training a bit too early.

I always thought that the Interceptor in Adv. Training 2 was a simulation of the real Interceptor. You know, "It's on it's way, we're preparing you for it in advance."

the problem already exists in the training mission
the instructor wants you to kill the drone with interceptors
but my ship is not even equipped with any secondary weapon

and about that story bug ... hm does anybody actually care WHEN WEAPONS ARE DEVELOPED ?
why not give them already in the trainings mission? otherwise so many newbies will get confused
like wired and me ... if you wanna underline it with story the answer of cobra is quite good i think

about the techroom thing, the only way to fix it is to create a new pilot in the starting screen(no clone, create), because if you create it at the Barracks it will be also have the techroom bug, who basically, they show everything in ships.tbls, even if don't have the "in tech database" flag...
