Title: obseenly usefull TS plugins
Post by: Bobboau on January 08, 2002, 03:46:00 am
I just found these (//"http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Plugins/free/default.asp?Cate=Free") things and I am very happy, especaly for the solidify plugin that fixes the most anoying problem of truespaces and alows us to totaly manipulate V's meshes, as well as removes the fear of unsolidifying our meshes  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

there's also an extruder that works sort of like Teragen (not nearly as pretty though)

I care - I just haven't had time to check everything out untill I get back from class later - then I'll post something more constructive. For the time being - sounds like some good finds!

I do. I actually LIKE Truespace. Of course I only have TS3.1, so most of the good plugins won't do me one damn bit of good.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)

that render isn't even half done yet, it needs more exposions and more fighters and a better perspective. but the beam is entierly rendered in TS as is the sun (trying something other than a lens flair) there was a little tuch up in PSP but it was mostly a simulated antialiasing and fixing some lensflair problems

"Belisarius, this is your lasAWWWWRK!"  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

I like. But doesn't the primplus or whatever it's called work just as well as Terragen too? Makes tiny-***  little segments unless you wanna pay for it, but I used to use it for terrains all the time...

AAAWRK? what the hell makes that sound? a vasudan in heat?

One getting hit in the face with a beam cannon? Actually, no, that'd be more of a vaporising sound, but I can't do those...

make an "S" sound, but rest your top front teeth right behind the tip of your tounge. that's what it sounds like.

hmm, I should ask my crazy brother about this; he is constantly running around everywhere pretending to be some gung-ho fighter pilot or something. he makes all kinds of strange spitting noises that he says are supposed to be missiles and beams firing. So Carl, you - as a Shivan - have vaporised enough ships to know what a Vasudan in heat being vaporised by a BFRed sounds like?  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wtf.gif)  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/lol.gif)
