Title: Sound problems

fs2_open_3_6_9.exe   won't run the game unless i choose ' NO SOUND '  on the Audio tab.

installing OpenAL changed nothing, errorlog says

"fs2_open_3_6_9 caused an Access Violation in module ntdll.dll at 001b:7c9106c3.
Exception handler called in FreeSpace 2 Main Thread. "

what can i do to make the game run with sound?

alright.. that had some very useful advice.
I got the game to work with sound now.. one file had to be deleted from system 32 folder..
but game still crashes when certain features are activated... i'm gonna keep trying things.
