Title: Oh, the humanity! My models aren't being cached!

I just looked. mediavps didn't have a cache folder. Freespace2/data/ has a "cache" folder, but all it has is a model for fighter01.pof, which I believe is for the Ulysses. I ask you, why are none of these models being cached?

Does mediavps possibly contain the ibxs'?

Damn. I didn't think to look. they do, my bad. :o

[edit] it doesn't explain why models that aren't in any sort of VP don't get cached though.

If you've turned on the don't cache IBX option the game will stop caching them.

Apart from that it's likely that you're simply looking in the wrong place.

mabye you should check Cache  thingys between missions in the speed tab.
