Title: Debug error warning missing?
Post by: Scooby_Doo on January 27, 2007, 09:13:16 pm
I'm getting everything ready for release, well about 39 of them  :)

I've come across a strange problem, I have ships that aren't showing up in FRED or FS2 , and fs2 debug isn't giving me the ship limit warning. However if I remove all the ships except at least one of those that aren't appearing, it then shows up.  Did someone accidental take out or comment out that warning? This is build 20061130.  There is no error spew because there is no errors showing up.

Why are you using such an old build? I'd recommend something newer regardless of whether you're using 3.6.9 or HEAD.

As for the error I don't think there ever was a ship limit warning.

Ok upgraded to 3_6_9 "official" release.  I wish there was a way of getting alerts when new builds become available.

Nope, still no error message (did get one about something totally different, missing texture, I just took that model vp out for now to fix it and one of the missing models appeared on the list.

And yes I do remember getting "You have more than 128 ships..." or something to that affect.

You may be exceeding the ship limit.  You may want to try an Inferno build, such as THIS (http://fs2source.warpcore.org/exes/3.6.9-INF.rar).  Just remember that your pilots will become incompatible with non-Inferno builds.
