yes, i know i'm beating a dead horse here, and this is a sore subject, buuuuut i need an MP3 player for when i work out. iPods are out of the question, and i'll tell you why:
because i want an MP3 player that i can plug (via USB) into the computer, and it will show as a hard drive (automatically detected and installed by windows). i want to be able to just drag and drop my MP3s into that external hard drive, and they're recognized by the MP3 player.
i want no 3rd party interface, like iTunes.
preferably a minimum of 2 GB :-/
What options do i have? :-/

i have an iRiver T10 with 2GB of storage. Its really small and it came with an arm strap. Works just like a USB flash drive.

Creative Labs & SanDisk players should do fine.

Creative Zen V should fit your requirements.

I'll just back everyone here...Creative, SanDisk, or iRiver...depending on the model you pick...are all good alternatives that do exactly what you're talking about.
