Hi all,
I have the following problem: I modified one of the FS2 campaign mission (the 1st one:"Surrender Belisarius") to allow all ships (I want to fly a Mara, for example). Then I put the mission in the /data/missions folder of my mediavps folder. The mission works, but it seems that I loose some of the features of the mediaVPs. In particular, the new sky (with plenty of stars) has gone, replaced by the old Standard FS2 one (almost all black). Any idea ?
Thxs,

Did you start out with the newer version from the media VPs or did you use the one from the retail VPs?

I use the 3.6.7 media VPs. I don't use 3.6.8 zeta version because it doesn't work with WMC scripting build (which is required to use Nuke's mouse control). I have all the .vp s in directory "SCP" in my main FS2 folder. The mission file is in the /SCP/data/missions folder.

Well, did you set the skymap/box? If I just extract and modify a standard FS2 map the skymap/box isn't shown because (duh) Volition didn't make the new maps with the new textures and stuff. So go back into FRED and set the skybox to starfield.pof. If this doesn't work, your missing something.

Get the mission that has the backgrounds and the one you made. Open them both in WinMerge (http://winmerge.org/). You'll be able to see the changes between the two. Just import the changes from one to the other and you should be fine.

Thxs a lot guys, especially to Vengence. I extracted starfield.pof and set the skybox in Fred, and that worked!
Cheers,
