See this:
It's done by deploying 8 Sathanas Juggernaughts, and then self-destructing them simultaneously. It does 5,000,000,000 damage approximately (it damaged the Volition Bravos to 51%). It could be used to kill the Gargant, too.
-
It strikes me that if you had eight Sathannases at your disposal, you could simply use them to kill the Ghargant, but whatever.
-
Err.. No. :P
They can't kill the Gargant. And they can't even scratch the Volition Bravos with their main beam cannons either. ::)
-
Now imagine that with all the fancy MediaVPs on. :D
-
I didn't do that cause I had my homework on the computer at the time. :p
-
I can FEEL something being on JAD3...
-
On that subject:
Behold, the flying QUESTION MARKS!!!!
-
Do they have weapons? :shaking:
-
They must; he seems to be getting shot up.
-
Yeah, they do. 21 guns in fact. :P
-
Are they flyable? ;7
-
i wouldnt mind seeing flying exclamation marks or other ascii characters :P. ascii vs fs2?
-
What have you done? Made them kamikaze or simply self-destructed and shockwaves dealt so much damage? o_0
-
I just self destructed one when they were a few meters apart, started a chain reaction and then... BOOM!!!
i wouldnt mind seeing flying exclamation marks or other ascii characters :P. ascii vs fs2?
Actually they're just those question marks when you click on when there's an unknown briefing icon present.
Are they flyable? ;7
Yes, they have almost the same stats as the Pegasus.
-
AWESOME!!!
-

Or a Nethack TC for FSO engine, W00t :D
-
I removed stealth so i could get some screenies. They are small, and extremely fast so hitting them is very hard. i also made it so they can move in all axes at the same time, like the Scorpion. It actually looks pretty cool.
-
Hold on... are the question marks actual ships?

How about the 'Properengli****es' versus the unspeakable hordes of L33t? ;)

What do you mean? They fly, shoot, and get blown up if that's what you're asking.
-

Heh, according to FSOpen i have killed the Volition Bravos..though i don't remember seeing the whole ship.

It says I killed 16 SpaceHunks.

It says I killed 16 SpaceHunks.
In bar fights, perhaps? Did their chiseled jaws cast you into a jealous rage?
-
Hehe. Seriously, and it also says I killed 92 Hercules, but I probably did. ;)

This is what has me confused. What exactly are these question marks?

Messing around with skyboxes (in INFA):

Glowing halo thing.

Trapped in cargo.

They were models, originally used in stock FS2 when one clicks on the unknown icons during the briefing (nebula in FS2, little clovers in FS1). I added gunbanks to them, cloned a Pegasus table and gave them a few custom weapons. Turned out hilarious as these little question marks ripped apart a Vasudan Aten.
-
Ah. Cool.
-
Can I get the cargo-skybox? I think I could use it for a part of my campaign...

Click on a nebula during a briefing.
-

I think he put his fighter and the cargo in the same coordinates, no skybox. I think :nervous:
-
:blah: that better not be the case! I have THE BEST mission idea...
-
I just used the cargo model. There are no modifications to the actual model. However, it is a skybox so you can't fly into the walls or anything.

A pegasus fighter replaced with a question mark image. Its not that hard to understand. The ?'s are fighters, with IIRC 21 gunz, and can move in all axies. Hard to hit and blow up like normal fighters.
EDIT: Crap, 2 pages. Someone probably answered already.
EDIT2: :blah: that better not be the case! I have THE BEST mission idea...
Lemme guess. Command tries to sneak Alpha 1 behind enemy teritory. A lone cargo drifting in space. Everything goes smooth untill a patrol wing, close to the enemies 1000 capital ships, destroys the cargo. All of a sudden out of the explosion comes... Ta da! Alpha 1, the l337 ship of doom, whos mission is to kill all red dots!
What will the enemy forces do now.. their doomed!!

So... you wrote "cargo03.pof" in the skybox field?
-
Yep. You can also do hollow asteroids. And perhaps even a hollow Earth using Earth.pof.
-
Oooohhhh.... Gargant Tunnel Run... ;7
What? You can't do tunnel runs with that? :(
-
Hmm easy enough...
More like a fun mission.
-
That question mark thing made me want to make something funny, so I made a space-faring car. I'll come up with a picture later.
-

No. 1, the skybox model follows you (I think), and two, it would look stupid as the model is transparent (to show the stars).
-
Um you can just set to 0 stars?
-
Um you can just set to 0 stars?
The min number of star is 500, IIRC.
-
Um you can just set to 0 stars?
That's one thing, but there's something more important. The model itself is transperant, so you would be able to see what's on the other side. Try setting transparent in the lab, you'll see what I mean.

GTVA reopens the SOL node only to find out Earth is fake\hollow.
-
heh heh... Shivan Dyson Sphere, anyone?
