Is The Babylon Project going to support the Installer?
If so, when?
:D :)

TBP is a total conversion and doesn't require Freespace2 to run. Basically, we already have our own installer.
-
kk, thx...
But the main idea I was spreading the word, ie people get referred to one installer which asks them if they want any of all of the MODs out there, and if they don't, they can always run the installer again and get it...
-
Actually it wouldn't hurt you any to stick your exe file in there as a download. The installer would then download the installer's file and people would click on it to install it.
Basically it's free advertising for your mod for a lot of people who might otherwise not learn about its existance. :)

Seems like a very good idea. Big brother will get back to you.

Update: Turey has made it possible for TC mods to use his installer, without having to load any part of FS2...
Total Conversion Groups/Anyone who might want a customized Online Installer - Simply by creating a minimum of four text files, you can have your own customized Online Installer/Updater, which you will have complete control over (It doesn't have to interact with FSOInstaller.com in any way). It's an easy way to avoid a patching nightmare!

Btw, OpenALwEaX should be included with the TBP installer. Some people don't have it (I didn't), so they have to look for it somewhere else. The Wing Commander conversion has it.
-
Sure and when FSOpen is updated to use newer versions of these third party libraries the Wing Commander download will be supplying incorrect versions. Good thinking.

Not if they had used the Installer. :p If they had, they could simply have changed the link in a text file, and they'd be fine.
If you want to see the re-branded BtRL Demo Updater, you can check it out (and the four text files it uses) here (http://www.fsoinstaller.com/files/btrl/).

Hello Turey,
I had to reinstall my FS Open right on Yesterday...whilst doing that,I figured out that you´re 3.6.9 Installer may be Corrupt...
I couldn´t unrar it...Failure in Folder Structure...maybe you can take a Look...maybe it´s only with my System...dunno...
-
Aye, I think that's been fixed, not sure...Turey said the .exe version was down for repairs. Use the .jar version. (Follow the directions in my siggy if you're not sure how.)

Either you caught me in the middle of uploading, or your unzipper can't handle Deflate64.
