Title: New weapons and fire waits.

When I have a 2-1 primary setup.  new weapon is set to a 1 second fire wait.   Ingame (mp) there is an approximately 2 second wait for *all 3* when linked.  It's not 3 seconds.  So, when you link two, it jumps the wait x2?  (which is fine, because that's how it worked in tachyon)  BUT - why does the single weapon ALSO wait two seconds to fire?

Also - how do I fix this to return the single to it's 1-second delay, while linked? :D

You'd need to edit the game code to do that.  Seriously though, sounds like something that could be incorporated either into weapons.tbl or ai_profiles.tbl.

Is this the no-delay linked fire? I would like to see that become a flag.

Well, I don't mind the delay for the dual-hardpoint primary.   It's when it doubles the delay for the single hardpoint primary linked to it that I get puzzled :D

I think I have a wierd solution. Set the single weapon to cycle and add extra firepoints into the 1 firepoint so when it cycles it fires faster but it still slows down so it won't work well.

I don't want to cycle the two, though - I want them linked, and both using their respective fire awaits...

You know what I'm saying?

Yes but I meant add more firepoints to the single so it shoots faster when cycling. It won't work though.

Figuring that I'm retexturing the Sistine for use... you can eventually
figure out what you want to use the barge for yourself  :D

Talking of voices, I rather like the awesomeness of Aldarian Obulo (of Star Patrol).  "Attention offending craft: You have fired upon a Star Patrol vessel.  You will now be destroyed as per USG Mandate 24B-- Attack On Law Enforcement Officer!" :D

Ok, back on topic... if this no-delay linked fire idea were to become a flag, what should it be named?
