Caligari made a tSx plugin called Solidify for trueSpace 4.1 through 5.x http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Plugins/free/default.asp
I'll try it in 6.6 and see if it'll A. work at all and B. if it functions different from the built in Add Face function.
-
you don't need it for after that they allowed editing of non-solid meshes.
-
yea but in ts4 you cant point edit a non-solid mesh. sometimes deleting the wrong point could ruin your model. i remember running into tht problem alot when i got started modding. look for a plugin called solidify, it fixes this problem 99.9% of the time.

trueSpace can delete points and edges from non-solid meshes, but can't extrude, bevel, sweep, boolean etc. Nor can it add edges to them. Solidify is on the link I posted.

truespace 6 was the best version, 7 was just bloat and buggy as hell. 6 didnt have the non-solid bug. and max owns them all. :D

6.6 is the best, except for what Caligari did with the Conversion Pack. tS 6.0 uses the original Conversion Pack, that got updated to Conversion Pack 2.0 for tS 6.5. The 'gotcha' is that if you paid $$$ for tS 6.5 and more $$$ for Conversion Pack 2.0, your CP2.0 $$$ is wasted when you apply the free 6.5 to 6.6 update.
Caligari released Conversion Pack 2.1 (with some updates) which works with both 6.5 and 6.6. CP 2.1 costs $199.

i think i used 6.0. it was good and i never found a need to upgrade.
