Can anyone tell me the limits for the number of ships in the tables using Inferno R1? And if this topic already exists, please dont flame me. I'm a newbie.

The game limits are 135 ships for a standard build, and 250 for an Inferno Build. I can't remember how many ships are in R1, but it is close to the 135 limit I think.

If you are interested in how many ships are there in INFR1, IIRC there are 131 ships. I remember that because in the original Steadfast plan I planned to release a single ship pack to be used in all the episodes, I didn't have in mind to make only episode-specific ship packs.

So then R1 is 131
INF SCP has 186 ships at the moment
INFA has 110 in standard mode, 120 in FSPort mode, 122 in INFA2 mode, or 132 total, not including addition entries for other campaigns like Awakenings

At best estimate :)

Just out of Curiosity can you sent me that current list of ships. I'm planning on doing a mod involving some of my own reskins and ships from TBP (That will take some doing). I'd like to know what the INF SCP line up is so i can decide which ships to bring over for it...or has this already been asked

Well the ship list hasn't been finalised and some of those Shivan ships Rampage wants to remove, so I'm not listing the current list as its huge.

Your jumping the gun a bit there, only the ones I've mentioned have been discussed, I seriously doubt the Lucifer would be removed.

yeah keep the scorpion! Part of my mod will be using an ani based on that on with the Lucifer with scorpions flooding out of it from fs1

You should used all Shivan ships from FS1 and FS2+the ones you made. Shivans do not retire classes of warships or spacecraft...they simply bring better ships. That's why saying "that thing is still being used by the Shivans" is stupid. This means that the Ancients have been defeated by pieces of junk. (that progress in 30 years...try to imagine the difference between 8,000 years old Shivan ships).

The Shivans probably hit their roof of development (terminal development?), as if the Ancients were defeated 8000 years ago, if the Shivans were still developing new ships they would be at this time have cruisers capable of blowing up planets completely in one shot.

That's right. Maybe the Ancients didn't face the Rakshasa,for example...

Also,think about FS. In the other part of the nebula, the GTVA encounters new ships. They haven't encountered them before maybe because they weren't located in that region...

In INF SCP ships come from the same places of FS1. There must be ships like the Cain or the Scorpion.

Weapons was upped and the other two should be dynamic now and so have no official limit.

aarg! damn isnt it possible to give the table files a more than 250 maybe 1000 1000000 or unlimited!!
that would solve the frustration i mean i dont like the limits (i think im not the only 1 thinking the limits are annoying)

Well, if your trying to do several campaigns, that occur reound the same time, with different factions and some of them have their own unique ships...You need a lot of ships.
In my planed Mod, I'll be importing some ships from TBP, to be ships developed by factions that where cut off from the GTVA, before the Inferno storyline.

That's the point: there are many Species, each one with its unique fleet.
