Post by: AlphaOne on February 17, 2007, 08:32:00 am
Well I just started to play Deep Blood and I have just one problem is the game suposed to be like that without any weapons to speak of. I then move along with just primaries and i'm suposed to take out a freaking ravana with just 1 primary bank of Prometheus R???  :hopping:

IIRC Deep Blood has no custom tables, does it? I don't think Deep Blood is at fault.

But it did have a faulty campaign file, I think.

It could be that, or you have some rogue tables running around in your FS2 folder, or you don't have Deep Blood in its own mod folder, or both.

  Correct, my friend.

Oki I give up! I cant make Deep Blood to work properly! I mean I made it its own folder I put it into the data folder of FS2 then moved it outside of the data forlder put it into the mission dir then took it out and placed just the files in the mission dir. It just wont work. I mean I can play I can chose a ship sometimes but I can not take any weapons I call in a support ship and it reloads me but it just gives me prometheus R ! Some help would be needed.

Note how absolutely none of the things you just described is actually the proper installation procedure for a mod? Not really surprising it's not working then.

That's how you do it. In fact I suggest you start from scratch and follow the instructions below first.

I've had the same problem, but i know i can install the Campaigns right seeing as I have derelict, warzone, and about 5 others installed right now. So how exactly do I fix it?

You mean the installer wants to pretend it's old FS2?
Rename your FS2 dir and create another"FreeSpace2" dir.  After install, move files to renamed fs2 dir, delete empty "FreeSpace2" dir, rename the other one back to "FreesSpace2".
