I reinstalled the original Freespace last night. I last had it installed a couple of years ago, and I could have sworn I was able to get it to run in relatively high resolution, maybe 1024 x 768. Now, it will only run in 640 x 480, which looks absolutely horrible on a 19" monitor. Is there a trick to get it to run at high res, or is that memory a product of my febrile imagination?

Unless you can code, no. Play the Freespace Port if you want to play FS1 in hi-res. :D

Do not post two identical threads in different boards. If I could, I would lock this.... But Taristin will do that for ya.

...Yes, you can (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,45496.msg926911.html#msg926911)...

PS, don't worry, I told him about the Port. ;)

Huh. I never knew about that. Sweet!

You misspelled, "Hi, welcome to our forums, and thanks for asking a question. You might find the following helpful..."
If I post asking for help in more than one place, I'm more likely to get a helpful response. Thank you for understanding why I did what I did.

It's also annoying to have the same post in two different boards. While Snail's response was a bit blunt, please refrain from doing it again.
EDIT: Not only that, but the SCP was the wrong place to post something like this anyway.

FS1 never ran at anything higher than 640x480. Ever.
Now, there was someone posting about a glide emulator of sorts that would stretch the image into higher resolutions, but it doesnt actually make the game hi-res. just zoomed in.
And yes, please one thread per entire forum per question. We're all the same people who view the same subforums. Posting in multiple places only fragments and disorganizes responses.

Oh, and since your other thread got the responses you needed. Closed.
