Title: Anyone a member of the Video Gaming Forums? If so, help me out a bit...
Post by: jr2 on February 26, 2007, 12:31:10 am
Help!  They think I'm a spamming fag, and they think that FS:SCP can't possibly be free.  Is there someone who's been a member there that they know that can tell them?  :nervous:  (Yeah, I know, four threads is alot, but three point to the other one... I figured it'd work... I dunno, maybe not a good idea.

o.0

Those people's logic hurts my head...

I don't know if we want them here with that kind of shutdown.

EDIT: Four threads probably wasn't the greatest way to endear yourself to them. A single thread in PC Gaming would have been sufficient.

I know... but I'm kinda hoping they're not all what they called me.  :p to them if they are.

To their credit, your posts did look like spam posts just because of the fact
that you used
enter like this every few words.

And linked stuff in several sentences.

But to your credit, they look like the typical geek-ass nerds who have nothing else to do but flame other people and call them fags while covering up their own closet homosexuality for anime and Link.

Making a little bit of headway (http://www.videogamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=13058).
Keeping my fingers crossed.  So far, they seem to think it's funny that they got me to think that I was only allowed to create one thread a month.

Do we really want people like that over here?

I wouldn't, but hey, whatever...

Well they got 2 out of 3 correct!

Unless you're pimping TBP or WCS then the game isn't free. You can get the media VPs and exe for free but it's still not legal to put the game up for download so it isn't any more free than a stolen car is free.

Well, technically, the SCP is free. It's the Freespace content that isn't free.

Although I think it's more of a grey area considering that the license itself allows you to make copies of the game for "friends". And you are all now my friends. :p

That's my opinion, anyway.

Which is basically what I said

You'd have a much harder time using that justification on a board you just joined though.

Yeah that's really a problem.

Interplay with its fiscal eight dollar revenue really has money to go chase you around courts.

 rolf

I see both of your points (yours more than theirs), but HOLY CRAP were they rude!! I love how they judged you on a single two line post. ::) Even it wouldn't be that bad if someone came in talking about FS3 (it never is).

Don't bother telling them about SCP.
