I have a Gforce2 but i have no probs whit it. But i don't have the MX version so i wouldn't know what could be wrong. what OS are you running? because a friend of mine has also a Gforce2 MX and has probs whit AvP2 text under win98se...But not under Winxp Profesional ( i use the same OS ) and i use the latest Gforce2 winXP drivers.

I get lots of messed up text and what I can only describe as deeply etched black lines criss-crossing the screen in various places. (it's a weird effect) with a Geforce3 unless I force one of the antialiasing options in the control panel. The Quincunx mode seems to produce the best results; I don't know if the GF2 supports this, but all of the antialiasing options help significantly for the text issue. This is on Windows ME.

As for the flashes, I have never really heard of that; someone else might be able to help you there.

NVidia GeForce 2 MX has worked perfectly on the newest Detonator drivers for me (not just perfectly but beautifully). I recommend travelling down to NVidia HQ, and with a strong flick of your wrist, impale the CEO with the card. Its really only a temporary solution.

Well the MX has had a history of screwing with FS2, I have a GTS and it runs perfectly so return that MX and get a GTS.
Or better get a GeForce 3 Ultra  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

My GF2 hasn't ever given me any problems with the game, Carl - have you tried upgrading all your drivers - using DirectX 8 (not 8.1 - that had a habit of crashing for me) and tuning everything? It may work...
