This is rich!
I stop FREDing FOW:C3 so I could play (and finish) WC:Sagga and INF:Alliance.
After I did that and removed both from my PC, I went back to FREding. Everything works fine, but when I play a mission under Open GL some effcts go totaly wrong!
First - the targeting box is dancing all around.
Second - the shield hit effects, smoke trail and flak effects look absolutely AWFUL (completely black for shields, black boxes for smoke particles and plain, dark yellow..something..for flak)
Strange this is that I didn't touch anything. Madia VP's are enabled.. the only thing I did is change resolution to 1280x768. Tried changing it back and playing with the color depth but hte problem persists
Under D3D everything works fine, but looks like it's low-res.
To make things stranger I tried using both the 3.6.9. and the HEAD build - the same thing.
It's funny.
Could be that I probably mesed something...hmm..I did remove the -jpgtga flag.

you answered your own question  :p

D3D is not an answer. It is a cop-out by those who refuse to look into the future and are instead fixated with the here and now.

or who dont have enough money for a better graphics card. openGL doesent load interface art for me.

Better start saving up. D3D won't load anything in a few months.

Mantis (http://scp.indiegames.us/mantis)?

I got a GForce 6800 GS, so it's not the lack of "horsepower"
-jpgtga doesn't change anything (in fact, the launcher sez the flag is unrecognized?)
-
uh, didn't you download the alpha patches? :wtf:

Looks like that fixed it..the targeting reticle is still somewhat screwy, but I cna live with that :D

It's because you're not using a 4:3 ratio.

Don't know if this question has been asked, but are there ideas/plans to fix this? I can live with it, but it is admittedly annoying.
